The short version
Dickson Engineering does not require an account for the public site, does not run advertising, and does not use an analytics service on the current public site. Values entered into the engineering calculators are processed locally in your browser and are not sent to Dickson Engineering.
Information you choose to provide
If you contact Dickson Engineering by email, the company receives the information you provide, such as your name, company, contact details, message, and any attachments. The website contact form does not submit information to a web database; it prepares an email in your device’s email application for you to review and send.
Contact information is used to respond to the request, provide support, discuss products or services, maintain business records, and meet legal or professional obligations.
Calculator inputs
The public engineering utilities use JavaScript in your browser. Their input values and calculated results are not uploaded to or stored by Dickson Engineering. If you copy a result, it is placed on your device clipboard at your request.
Hosting and technical requests
The site is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Like most hosting and security providers, Cloudflare may process technical request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamps, and security signals to deliver and protect the site. Dickson Engineering does not use this site to build advertising profiles.
The site currently requests IBM Plex font files through Google Fonts. That request may disclose ordinary connection information, including your IP address and browser information, to Google. The site does not intentionally use Google Analytics or advertising cookies.
Cookies and local storage
Dickson Engineering does not intentionally set cookies or use browser local storage on the current public site. Cloudflare may use limited security mechanisms when needed to protect its network and this site.
Sharing
Dickson Engineering does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that support website delivery, email, communications, professional services, or legal compliance, only as reasonably necessary for those purposes. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Retention and deletion
Calculator inputs are not retained by Dickson Engineering. Email and other direct communications are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide support or services, preserve business and professional records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. You may request access, correction, or deletion of information you provided by contacting Dickson Engineering. Some records may need to be retained where law or professional obligations require it.
Children
The site and tools are intended for engineering and business use and are not directed to children. Dickson Engineering does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the public website.
Future apps and services
A future application or account-based service may have a separate, product-specific privacy notice describing its data practices. This page does not claim that an unreleased product collects no data; the applicable notice will be published before that product is made available.
Changes
This notice may be updated as the website or products change. The effective date above will be revised when a material update is published.
